Stitch Fix June

It's that time again-Stitch Fix mail for June has arrived.  In addition to my first box for summer, I have a big surprise for you too.

This post contains affiliate links to make for easy shopping for you.  We receive a small commission from the company at no extra cost to you when you make a purchase.

Summer will be here before I know it; eight days of school left before the girls and I are on vacation.  We will be busy in June, but the days will be longer and filled with fun.

I requested items in this fix that would help me get through these last days of school with honors night, graduation, and open houses filling my calendar and Roseann DELIVERED!

I adore my Stitch Fixes so much that I wanted to share the experience with my readers, so I teamed up with 27 other Stitch Fix bloggers to bring you a huge Stitch Fix Gift Card Giveaway, so be sure to stick with me to the end in order to get entered.

What is Stitch Fix?
It is a styling service that for $20 (which gets credited towards any items you keep) you get five items hand-selected for you by a stylist.  You fill out a style profile and link a Pinterest board, so your stylists know what you like.  If you are interested in trying out this service, please use my referral link as I can get credit for sending you their way.

I changed up the location of my photos, so this month you get a different view of our deck.  I must say that I am thrilled warmer weather has arrived here in Michigan.

Photo credit goes to the girls, who also helped style each outfit in this post and took the photos.

I specifically requested dresses for my June events, so it was no surprise when I pulled three dresses from my fix.  Only recently have I become a dress wearer.  There have been great maxi dresses in previous fixes, which I usually end up loving.  This maxi dress was no exception.

I paired this dress with my gold sandals and my state necklace.  You can't get these ones anymore, but I found these similar sandals.  My state necklace comes from Cents of Style, and they have every state available.

It is one of my favorite pieces, and I always get compliments on it when I wear it.

Everything about this dress was perfect: the color, the fabric, and the fit.  My favorite part is the detail on the top.  I have already worn it to work twice.

My quest for skirts continued with this fix. This cargo skirt is probably the most wonderful skirt I have ever had on; I swear it fits like a pair of yoga pants, and who doesn't love yoga pants?

I first paired it like the style card with my Dolman Top from my February Fix, which is the exact top pictured on the card- coincidence?  This is a perfect date night look for the day Steve and I finally get out again.

I also tried something a little dressier.  This outfit I could wear to work and look professional while being comfortable.

Here I paired the skirt with the same gold sandals, the blazer from my second Fix, a peach tank, and a Cents of Style stamped scarf.

Overall this skirt has become a staple of my wardrobe, and I know it will be in regular rotation.

My stylist has sent me some great wrap dresses over the last year and a half like the one from February 2015, which I ended up getting in another color too.  I have become a dress girl as a result;  they really are so much cooler when I'm in my third floor classroom in June with no AC.

This fun print will be perfect for all season and day or night.

Here I paired the dress with my royal blue Ballasox, which are the most comfortable ballet flats I have found.  I have heard them compared to Tieks, but at 1/4 of the price, Ballasox better fit my budget.  I also added by Caleb Chandelier Earrings from Cents of Style.

These white jeans I paired the top with are great.  I got them at Sam's Club last summer on clearance, so I won't feel bad when they get dirty.  I also have those gold sandals again.  The earrings I got in a Cents of Style Grab Bag last winter.  Here are some similar ones.

Right now Cents of Style is hosting another grab bag event.  You get a make up bag and three random jewelry pieces (a bracelet, earrings, and a necklace) for $19.98 with free shipping when you use the code GRABBAG20.  I already got mine, and I am excited to see what pieces I get.

The last dress in this fix was not a winner out of the box.  My whole family thought it looked frumpy as did I, but as often happens with my fixes, I was shocked when I put it on:  it looked so much better on than on the hanger.

The fabric is stretchy, which makes it perfect for me because the sleeves are more fitted than most items I own.  This was my husband's favorite dress and is unlike any other dress in my closet.  I know it will get some wears at open houses this June.

This dress I liked with my leopard Ballasox, which are super fun and Cents of Style earrings.  I also added a white infinity scarf like the style card suggested.

Another 5/5 box.  I really do believe that these are getting better the longer I have been subscribing.

Our 15 year old daughter is in need of some wardrobe work, and my mother suggested that we get her a fix.  Has anyone ever used Stitch Fix for their teen?

Stitch Fix February

It's that time again-Stitch Fix mail for February has arrived.  Apparently box #15 was the winner as I kept all five items because I loved each of them, and they fit perfectly.

After a slightly disappointing box in October, I have taken Steve's advice for the last few fixes and requested fewer specifics.  He was right, my boxes have been better than ever.

This months pictures make me a little sad because two days after they were taken, we got the biggest snow storm of this winter, and now my yard is under a foot of snow with supposedly more coming.  Photo credit goes to Potumus, who also helped style each outfit in this post.

I have been on the hunt for another pair of colored jeans since I got a fuchsia pair in Fix #2 and a dusty rose pair in Fix #11.  These mint ones will be the perfect addition.

Potumus and I decided to follow Maha's advice and pair it with the dolman top.  I don't own a dolman nor do I think I have ever gotten one in a fix before.  Clearly I was missing out because this top is the softest most comfortable top I own.  I can't wait to wear it to work next week.

The jeans are the softest pair I have ever tried on.  I imagine this is what seals or otters feel like.  They are longer, and I may decide to have them hemmed, but we will see.  I paired this with my Merrell Sandals.

Level 99 Giovanni Straight Leg Jeans $108 KEPT
Market and Spruce Corinna Striped Dolman Top $48 KEPT

I asked for something tunic length as I have a pair of black pants from The Loft that I adore wearing to work, but they really need something tunic length to wear on top.

I was not disappointed with what Maha sent me; plaid, tunic, and teal.  What else could a girl want?  I especially like that I can layer a tank underneath if the weather is cool or not as the weather warms up.  I paired this with my teal jeans and fuchsia Sperrys at my daughter's suggestion.

After some consideration of my wardrobe this winter, I realized that I need to expand my dress pants selection, so I requested a pair of dress pants too.

Once again I was not disappointed.  I don't own high waited anything, so these were a welcome change.  In addition they are made of an interesting fabric and don't have a button or zipper; they look like leggings on top, but the style card says trouser, so they are trousers.  I know that wearing these to work all day would not be an issue.  I paired them with a holiday sweater (my friends thought that was the item I got and said I should send it back) and my black flats.

Margaret M Emer High Waited Trouser $98 KEPT

I wasn't super excited about the last item because I had a top very similar to it already, but if you didn't have a black and white polka dot blouse, this is a good one.

I paired this top with my dusty rose jeans I mentioned earlier.  I layered it over a black tank, and it is lovely.  Honestly, I kept it because it was cheaper to keep it than return only this one item.

Daniel Rainn Koda Split Neck Blouse $68 KEPT

My first 5/5 box.  I am still reeling from the cost, but Steve assures me that I deserve it and need to continue building my wardrobe for work.

I haven't decided what to ask for in my March fix, and I have some time as our school band has a Disney trip coming up, so I pushed my next Fix back a couple week until the end of March.  Any suggestions on what I should ask for?

Stitch Fix January 2016

Stitch Fix is my favorite mail to get every month.  I know that my closet has gone from drab to fab in the last year.

After a slightly disappointing box in October, I have taken my husband's advice and requested fewer specifics because when I have more general requests, I seem to get better boxes.

I was most excited about this plaid top when I peeked at what was coming in my fix.

I paired it with my new black pants from The Loft and black boots.  I liked the outfit as whole, but I really was hoping for a brighter plaid.  Also the fabric was a little stiff for my taste.  Overall, it was a good option, but it wasn't as perfect as I expect my items to be to keep them.

This sweater was a great piece.  I paired it with my new black pants from The Loft, my Ballasox flats, and my daughter's cat ears at the request of my husband, who did my pictures.

I was never in to animal print, but I bought these flats for a great prices.  Then a friend got me a scarf to match them, so I am now an animal print person.  I did like this sweater, but I felt that it might be too much leopard print.  To be hones, I kinds of wish I had kept it, but oh well.

I was very apprehensive about this scarf when I pulled it out of the box.  The fringe just looked like too much.

I paired this with my jean jacket from The Loft, my Ballasox, and my pants from a previous fix.

Once I got the scarf on, I fell in love with it.  I don't have a scarf this chunky or this color.  However, my husband was the voice of reason and suggested I make one as I knit often in the winter.  So, this one went back in the box and I bought to skeins of yard for $10 to make my own.

It is no dress season here in Michigan, so I did wonder what my stylist was thinking in sending this dress.

Well, whatever she was thinking was great because this is the perfect dress.  It is funny to me because I am not a dress person, but I now own like five dresses from Stitch Fix that all get regular wear.

The fabric on this dress was super soft and it fit as though it were made fore me.  I don't currently own a black dress (I know, I know), so this was a must-add item to my closet.

Gilli Kamile Jersey Rouched Detail Dress $54 KEPT

The last item I received was this navy cardigan.  It had pockets, which was neat, but I could not get past the fabric.  The fabric was actually better on the inside than the outside.  The outside of mine looked matted. As I already own a navy cardigan, I passed.
